I am a big fan of lipsticks and I tend to buy them even though my daily routine does not always involve a touch of colour on the lips. Of my whole collection, only a small minority are by Rimmel, and out of those, these lipsticks from the Kate Moss collection are my favourites. Shades 07 and 11 are part of the original Lasting finish by Kate Moss collection, and come packaged in a sleek, matte black bullet with 4g of product concealed on the inside.

The shades I have are 07, which is a nice, pink nude with a purple undertone, and shade 11 which is a deep red verging on wine. The names are pretty anti-climatic as there are no actual names to the shades, but only the numbers. Shade 07 is easy to apply and it is one of those amazing shades that is perfect for everyday application as you don't even really need a mirror. Quite contrasting to that is shade 11 which is a pain to apply. I find it pretty impossible to apply without a lip liner, as it is very prone to smudging. This makes it very hard to get a defined lip straight from the bullet.
I would say shade 07 is definitely much more daytime wearable for some, however I am not one to shy away from bold lip colours so who is to say that you are. They are both great shades for both day and night and if you feel unsure about your purchase of either, don't be! I promise you won't regret it.
The formulation of the lipsticks has got to be one of the best I have ever tried. They are creamy, and not at all drying to the lips with a smooth and velvety finish. A lot of lipsticks tend to amplify and dryness of the lips that you may be suffering from, however this formula does just the opposite. It does not intensify, but nicely glides over any imperfections, resulting in soft and flawless looking lips.
I also give it full points for pigmentation and opacity which are amazing as you can see in my swatches, which were achieved with only one swipe of the product. The rest of the colour range is also quite nice, incorporating some gorgeous deep shades as well as some lighter ones.

Overall I am really enjoying the range, as it is amazing quality for such a small price. I feel that this collection has set the bar for drugstore lip products very high. Quality extends from formulation, to pigmentation and even to the scent, which is subtle and delightful.

So, massive thumbs up from me! I definitely recommend the Lasting finish by Kate Moss collection and at the affordable price of AU $13.24 who can even say no? It is a great product to price ratio, especially when taking into account the amazing quality comparable or even better than other brands that price their lipsticks way up there in the $20 price range. And hey if this price is still not affordable enough for you, Priceline and other carriers always have sales and I have seen this collection priced as low as $5!!

  1. I have Shade 11 which I rarely reach for but it is really quite a dramatic red. I agree with you in that it can be quite difficult to apply perfectly though!
