ven though we know dark and vampy nails are in, nail art is not out. Nail art is definitely not out-its just simplifying. What has been dubbed as the 'floating manicure', or geometric shapes are painted onto nude nails for a simple, minimal pop of colour while avoiding any clashes.
Nude, more modern versions of the classic 60's half-moon manicure are quite popular.

The stereotypical French Manicure is a thing of the past, a trend left back in the 90's where it belongs. Nonetheless, all the runways seem to be showcasing a twist of the classic nail art. The new french manicures are bold, minimal and most importantly, fun!
All this is also pretty easy to achieve. The above photo is of my own nail art attempt. All I needed to start were nude nails, red polish and sticky tape. Cut extended triangles to stick on the bottom of the nails, and then pain two coats, wait for it to partly dry, peel off the triangles and paint a clear top on the design to seal it in. Easy, Peasy! And here you have it! Nail art worthy of the '14 runways.
