n my last post I promised I'd put together a little lookbook showcasing the three items I purchased from the pop-up markets at my university, so here they are.

ihanna has always been a force to be reckoned with when it comes to bold attitude and provocative style. As a result of her most daring fashion sense, this year she will be taking home the CFDA Fashion Icon Award. The awards, which will be held in New York on June 2, recognise the highest achievers in the American fashion industry. As a tribute to her ever evolving image and as a result, her conversion to the icon status, here is a compilation of my favourite Rihanna Fashion Month Outfits. 
e all grew up learning the basic fashion rules. One of those has always been not wearing socks with pumps or sandals but hey this years runways seem to break all kinds of rules. From fancy socks with simple pumps to fancy shoes with simple socks, this years got it all. From Dolce to Vera Wang, anywhere your head turns, there they are, right in the fashion trend spotlight.
ruth is, I've been wanting a dark greenish/turquoise fur jacket like the one Abbey Lee is sporting in these photos for ages, and before you start scolding me, yes I do know wanting fur is a horrible thing, and I would never purchase real fur, however I do allow myself to admire its beauty. I am also not a big fan of fake fur, as over time it clumps together, however I will probably have to settle for the latter.
nd here's yet another addition to my not so extensive list of favourited fashion designers. With my love for minimalism, clean cut lines and feminine aesthetics, many designers don't quite make the cut, however when I came across Narciso Rodriguezs' name today and looked up his designs, all I needed to do was take one look at the search results and I knew Narciso would over time build himself a little impeccably designed spot in heart. 
rom crop tops to Manolos, fur coats to Fendi, Carrie provided an endless amount of eye candy, insurmountable inspiration, pushing her style to another level. While in some instances we do have to admit she was not the epitome of style, she still always managed to pull it off, allowing for her confidence and personality to turn what may have been a not-so-well-put-together outfit into a formidable one.
continuance of possibly my favourite 2013 trend , mid-length tops are here to stay for the Spring/Summer 2014 season. From crop tops, bra tops, halter tops, or no tops at all, showing your rib skin is totally in this season. Almost every ready-to-wear show had an array of cropped pieces, making them definite wardrobe staples for the months to come. 
rom selfies, to funny hat wearing singers, to pizza delivery guys, Ellen and the Academy have succeeded in hosting what could be the years most memorable event. From what is probably the smoothest and classiest star studded event of the year here are the stand out, best dressed beautiful people of the night. 
ilver hair is one of those extreme changes to my image that I really want but will probably never have the guts to go through with getting. It looks extremely beautiful, however seems to only suit girls with a certain appeal or features such as light coloured eyes and skin. I am obsessed with silver hair, however, with my warm skintone and brown eyes I don't think I could pull it off, so i'll just stand on the sidelines, admiring, and marvelling at those flawless beauties that can.
ntil recently, picking out sunglasses was my worst nightmare, as nothing seemed to ever suit me, therefore I never wore any. They all seemed to either make my nose look horribly large, my face too round or my forehead immense. Luckily, what changed all of that was my recent haircut. Having a shorter haircut, somehow, changed the way sunglasses look on my face shape and after trying on multiple pairs, I have decided that I should stop torturing my eyes and purchase a pair.
oday, unlike many other days, I was out and about in the city, hunting for everything fashion, from basics to a job. As I am starting university next week I feel that now is crunch time and I am desperately searching for any job opportunities that may be available in the retail side of the fashion industry.
